 Patapan04-Oct-2018
Composed by Trad arranged by K Davies
A straight forward but interesting arrangement of this 18th Century French Carol (which hasn't been messed around or tarted up). It has been carefully scored to suit a mixed ability band (eg Clarinet 3 doesn't go above the break) with parts for less common instruments cued/duplicated, additional parts for Eb Horns, treble as well as bass clef lower brass parts and optional Eb and Alto Clarinet parts. Portrait and landscape scores included. (Duration 3:05).

Y Frwydr Ddraig (The Dragon Fight)14-Aug-2017
 Composed by K Davies
Dragon fights feature in many Welsh (and English) traditional stories as well as on flags. Y Frwydr Ddraig (The dragon fight) depicts a dragon being lured by humans into a deathly trap; this is followed by a sad reflection on how humans can destroy the beauty and magnificence of an animal that can fly and breathe fire; and the final section is celebration of humanity free from fear and tyranny. (Duration 4:05).
 Trombone Emoticons10-Mar-2016
 Composed by K Davies
This trombone solo was commissioned by Alan Gifford Principal Trombone of the Staffordshire Brass Band. It is available with either Brass Band or Concert Band accompaniment The loud opening fanfare gives way to a melodic section which is followed by a slower more reflective passage prior to a jolly ending. This does not imply that any trombone players I know are subject to mood swings! A solo which performers and audiences will enjoy! (Duration 4:30 including cadenza)
 War & Prosperity: Battle25-Oct-2008
 Composed by K Davies
This is a lively poetic number which opens with a bugle calls and a drum solo, progresses to a confused battle climax and ends with the losers in retreat. A distinctive piece of music which you will find a welcome change from test pieces and arrangements of popular music. (Duration 3:00).
 War & Prosperity: Grief25-Oct-2008
 Composed by K Davies
The slow and moving lament is followed by a funeral march and a percussion eulogy. This terribly sad movement brings home the reality of battle and lays the foundations for the victory celebrations. (Duration: 4:25). The alto flute part is cued on clarinet.
War & Prosperity: Home Coming March25-Oct-2008
 Composed by K Davies
Written in the style of a classic quick march including a bass solo, this movement reuses some of the motifs from Battle and Grief in a March tempo and style. (Duration 5:25)
 War & Prosperity: Jazz Carnival25-Oct-2008
 Composed by K Davies
A memorable number with its walking bass line and swung melodies which can be enjoyed when played slower than crotchet 180. It forms a great finale to the entire suite or a good sequel to Grief. (Duration 4:00).
